Sharing in Growth beneficiary Hyde Aero Products has been recognised as one of the top UK companies in the Smart Factory category of The Manufacturer and IMech’s MX Awards.
As finalists the Cheshire-based company was applauded for best use of data and technology to gain competitive advantage. Hyde, whose expertise is precision machining, fabrication and special processing for aerospace, defence, nuclear, mining and scientific equipment, was recognised earlier this year as a finalist in Sharing in Growth’s best practice awards.
Hyde faced strong competition for the Siemens-sponsored Smart Factory Award from household names such as Brompton bikes and London Brick. It eventually went to McLaren Automotive who also took The Manufacturer of the Year award.
Said Hyde Aero Products joint managing director Matthew Smallman: “It’s great recognition for the whole Hyde group to be nominated and ranked alongside the best in the UK.”
