The Aerospace Technology Institute is hosting an Aerospace Supply Chain Consortium Building Event.
18 September 2018 from 0900 to 1530
Vincent Building, Cranfield University, Cranfield, Bedfordshire MK43 0AL
The event will provide an overview of the new and on-going funding opportunities for research and development projects in civil aerospace. These include the three new funding opportunities announced at Farnborough: a collaborative research & development call (up to £20m), a joint UK-Sweden EUREKA call (up to £2.5m) and a further round of the National Aerospace Technology Exploitation Programme (up to £13.7m).
The aim of the event is to encourage collaboration between companies currently working, or interested in working, in the aerospace sector. SMEs are particularly encouraged to attend, and to take advantage of the:
- Business-to-business meetings with larger organisations – including Airbus, BAE Systems, Boeing, Bombardier, GE Aviation, GKN Aerospace, Leonardo Helicopters, Meggitt, Rolls-Royce, Safran, Spirit Aerosystems, Thales, UTAS, and Sharing in Growth. These 10-minute one-to-one sessions must be reserved in advance.
- Free showcase stands – providing companies with a chance to showcase R&T projects that are seeking collaborative partners. These are limited and, again, must be reserved in advance.
The event will include presentations on the full range of current collaborative aerospace research and technology funding opportunities. Attendees will also have an opportunity to network with organisations of all sizes; to meet with representatives of the ATI, NATEP and Sharing in Growth; and attend the open Technology sessions in the main auditorium.
Registration to the event in advance is essential. Places are limited so please book early. Registration to attend the event will close on Monday 17th September 2018. Click here to register.
