Improvement Techniques NVQ programme – Industry Forum and Fletchers

The first phase of 2 NVQ teams started in June 2014 and I can already see the green shoots of change in the business.

The teams first projects have been aligned to our overall SIG improvement plan and as such everyone is working towards common goals. The training for the team members was fresh and kept them interested and enthused. They have gone on to complete these projects with quality results. I can see the individuals using the tools and techniques in their everyday jobs now and they are starting to involve other machinists and operators to help them achieve their goals.

The enthusiasm, professionalism and expertise shown by the SIG trainers has certainly made a difference to the individuals on the NVQ and a positive influence on the business
