ATL Turbine Services, the Dundee based turbine component repair company, has posted another strong set of results for its financial year ending June 2018. Sales grew to £6.5M, up by more than 30% on the prior year and the company generated a seven-fold increase in pre-tax profits to over £1M.

Dale Harris, ATL CEO commented, “ATL continues to deliver sustainable growth and robust financial performance. Over the last 12 months we quadrupled international sales, recruited technicians, engineers and support staff and invested in new process equipment. I’m particularly pleased that we have just added another three trainees to our team, giving more young people a start.”

Harris continued, “It is the skill of our team and their customer focus that sets us apart. As a result, ATL has excellent long-term customer relationships, a healthy pipeline of new work and is exceptionally well positioned for continued growth.”

ATL was last year selected for Sharing in Growth, the Government-backed competitiveness improvement programme with the aim of making efficiency gains. The programme has been instrumental in helping ATL generate efficiency gains and is set to continue for another three years, further supporting ATLs growth ambitions.

The company has secured more than £7 million in contracts thanks to the support of Sharing in Growth and is currently planning a number of significant investments to enable new product development, increased capacity and additional job creation.

ATL have also just been named winners in the sixth annual Dundee Courier Business Awards. Members of the ATL team collected the Export prize and also received Highly Commended recognition in the Service Company of the Year Category. Over 65 companies from across Tayside, Perthshire and Fife competed in 23 categories.

ATL Turbine Services is a one stop shop turbine component repair facility, dealing in both aero and light industrial turbines. The company has a history dating back to the early 1980s and is based in Baldovie Industrial Estate, Dundee.

ATL offers a broad range of specialised component repair capabilities, which give customers a fast, dependable and cost-effective alternative to new-for-old component replacement. As an engineering solution provider, ATL is able to refurbish parts back to a fully restored condition so that they have the same integrity and durability as new parts.
